There are so many excuses to sit still for modern children. This may be Internet viewing, tablets, phones, or hand-held game systems. With all of these distractions, it is more important than ever to instill a habit of physical activity. You do not have to sign you child up for little league or drag them to the gym. Try some simple activities like taking a walk or assigning them some chores. When a child is used to activity in their youth it makes it more likely they will continue to be active as an adult. This can not only extend their life, it can improve their quality of life.
